Continuing education courses must be attended in their entirety in order to receive credit for the number of approved hours. (MN Statute 45.30 Subd 4a). Attendees must sign-in on the attendance sheet prior to class start time. If you join the class after the instructor begins/sign-in sheets are removed, you are considered late and no CE can be earned – regardless of reason (no exceptions for traffic, parking, or weather). What Was My Appraiser Thinking? This course will help REALTORS® understand important aspects of the appraisal side of real estate. It covers basic history of appraising along with a detailed comparison of the difference between appraisal and CMAs. Attendees will learn how appraisers work, who they work for, how they search for comps, what guidelines they have to follow, and why they do what they do. This educational offering is recognized by the Minnesota Commissioner of Commerce as satisfying 2.0 hour of credit toward continuing real estate education, provided by the Saint Paul Area Association of REALTORS®. Starting in 2003, Zoe has been developing and teaching classes for the Minneapolis Area Association of REALTORS® (MAR), other local associations, the National Association of REALTORS®, Kaplan, and NorthstarMLS. She was instrumental in assisting the development of the appraisal division of the Minneapolis Area Association of REALTORS®. Zoe was also a member of NAR 2010-2011 National Appraisal Committee and past member of the Board of Directors for MAR. She has been serving on the Agent Advisory Committee for MLS representing appraisers since its inception. In teaching for NorthstarMLS she introduces all the staff, agents, and appraisers to Matrix when new areas and associations join NorthstarMLS. She is a graduate of Cornell University and is very active in the real estate community. Students who cancel after, who arrive late for class, or who do not show up, will not receive a refund. All payments are non-refundable and non-transferable.
