The Lunch & Learn will begin with a 1 hour MN CE course, ID Theft for the Realtor: Who’s Got Your Number - Precautions and Protections for the Real Estate Agent, followed by a safety seminar by Sheila Marquis from Damsel in Defense. ID Theft for the REALTOR®: Who’s Got Your Number - Precautions and Protections for the Real Estate Agent: Identity theft is America’s fastest growing crime and the impact it leaves on its victims can be devastating. As real estate agents we have an obligation to our clients to insure that their personal information is protected throughout the real estate transaction and beyond. This course will give you an overview of the types of identity theft to be aware of and how criminals obtain their victims information. This course will also discuss protection strategies with smartphones and the use of social media, as well as protecting a growing demographic, senior citizens, from identity theft.
